Who is Inland?

                  Inland Industries, Inc. is a Kansas City area based holding company that owns and operates a number of small-to-medium-sized companies located in Colorado, Iowa, and Kansas.  Inland owns its 65,000 square foot principal office and warehouse building in Lenexa, Kansas, a suburb in the southwestern section of the greater Kansas City metropolitan area.  It is located within Inland’s own mini industrial park known as “Inland Business Centre” on a 17-acre site which contains approximately 200,000 sq. ft. of combination office, warehouse and distribution space immediately adjacent to Inland’s headquarters building.

                 Inland is a highly diversified corporation with seven subsidiary companies. The companies’ principal efforts include the newspaper press and auxiliary equipment business; publishing newspapers and TMC (Total Market Coverage) “shoppers”; the manufacture and distribution of commercial printing ink and graphic supplies; owning and operating the prestigious C Lazy U Guest Ranch located in Colorado, as well as Colorado home site development within the C Lazy U Ranch.

                 Inland was originally established in 1910 to sell typesetting machine parts to newspapers throughout the Midwest.  Now in its third generation of ownership, the Murray family is, and has been since 1946, the principal stockholders of Inland Industries.  Since that time, significant growth and expansion has taken place. The parent company and its subsidiaries presently employ approximately 300 persons including the summer temporary staff at the ranch.
